PERFORMANCE MARTIAL ARTS specially modified and developed this martial art for toddlers to teenagers - The system introduces the importance of keeping fit, instilling confidence, good posture, a structure in learning and remembering movements that include high kicks, turns and kung fu blocks all performed to music.

Whilst maintaining discipline, games are used to highlight the use of energy like darting forward and backwards and kung fu statues for memory skills.
In Animal Fu – There are 6 animal we use to demonstrate their kung fu skills : such as The Eagle- stretching its wings out to the side that helps our balance work and The Grasshopper – that stretches and hops that in time helps strengthen legs and work on the cardiovascular system.

To cool down and end the sessions we learn Tai Chi. It is the perfect way to calm the children introducing breathing techniques and also to ensure the time spent is divided in the best possible way, rounded and balanced.

Kung fu training is widely acknowledged to provide both inner and outer strength and is able to energize those who accept its disciplines.
Our aim at Performance Martial arts is to introduce this ancient art to children and offer inspiration to help them grow confidently with a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Performance martial art is also used to demonstrate the skills and techniques learned in the classes with workshops and demonstrations throughout the year.

Linda Hall began learning Kung Fu in 1991 as an alternative way of keeping fit. In 1993 Linda had the privilege of studying both Opera house Kung fu and Tai chi with acclaimed grandmaster Sifu Liang guo qiang. It was from this point that her love of Kung Fu and Tai chi was cemented and it began to play a very important role in her life.

In 2002 Linda travelled to Hong Kong, Guangzhao and Zhaoqing in south China with Sifu Liang to further her studies. On her return Linda entered 'The Chinese Martial Arts Championships', in Oxford winning her first gold medal for open hand external form and a second medal for her sword form. In 2003 Linda won another gold medal for siu teh sin (small steel wire) Opera house third kung fu form at the British Championships. In 2004 sadly Sifu Liang passed away, Linda and Sifu Liang's daughter, Mae who has also studied in the Chinese Buddhist monasteries in Henan Province, continue to train together.

Linda is qualified to teach a large range of fitness classes including, pilates, aqua aerobics, circuit training, pre and post-natal fitness. She worked in the fitness circuit in various health clubs including, The Chelsea club, The Mayfair Retreat and The Park Club. Linda's years of experience means she is as comfortable teaching in a one to one scenario as she is dealing with large groups and corporate events.
